#@: Bushnell Neo Golf GPS

If you have a MAC and want to use this product, ensure you have the latest version of JAVA (download from APPLE icon in upper left corner and select "software update"). If you have the most recent version you won't have a selection for JAVA. Deselect everything else as it will take more time to download. Once that is done, go to [...] and download the MAC software. Once that is downloaded, double click on the file. It will open to an icon'd item (flag) and another file. Double click on the flag, say yes to opening it. This should open the bushnell neo installer. Click on the sync installer first and follow the directions. Don't change anything. Once that is done then click on the USB driver. If it wants to restart the computer, STOP. Click back on the installer screen and select the serial driver button. If it doesn't want to restart then finish with the serial driver. After you do that then select the restart button mentioned earlier. After it restarts you may/may not have an icon (it's a flag with the number 3 on it). If not, use your FINDER and type "bushnell". Double click on the icon for Busnell Neo Sync. This should start up the application and have should be searching for the Neo. Plug in the Neo to a port and turn it on. The searching line should go from searching to connected. If you are not a member you will have to join before downloading course info. Go to the Tab for GPS download and look for the course you want. Select it for download and it will go to the computer first. Then you send it to the Neo.



The biggest problem I had was with not having the latest version of JAVA and not loading the programs in the correct sequence (app sync, usb, driver).



The toll free number worked fine too. I found that if I allowed the message to walk me through to connecting to a tech, I got a lot faster response than pushing the numbers early (I knew what the number to connect was based on the initial phone call).



I haven't tried the device on the course but a buddy of mine says he likes it. I may update this after I've played a few rounds.
