Purchased at the eleventh hour to replace a missing rock-scrambling helmet (no falling rocks, just protection from short falls), this model came through the week-long, hike & fish outing in Adirondack gorges. It did its job, saving me from what would have been at least a good head dent in the deeper rapids.
Pros: Very lightweight but protective body, good interior padding, secure buckling system, very low price.
Cons: LG/XL size is not quite an XL. Inside shape is for someone with a very round head, but can be adjusted in 48 hours with a set of cabinetmaker's clamps or tie-down straps to slightly change the contour of the shell and liner without compression or other damage. Could use more ventilation.
